'allo chaps and chapesses

I been a-thinking for a while now that there isn't a division/brach for the very northern end of NSW, say covering from the NSW/QLD border (Coolangatta-Tweed Heads) to say Byron Bay or perhaps a little further south to Ballina.

I know that the QLD division is based at Brisbane with regular trips to BWCP (Broadwater Car Park) however it really isn't close enough for impromptu cruises and whatnot. It is kind of an effort to go to Bris meets for those of us located here abouts. Yes, its true that there is the odd Byron/Clarrie Hall dam run from the bris crew, however something a bit more local would be nice.

I do know that there are a few members floating about who may appreciate the creation of a sub-division for this area to further the causes of AM and to generally just have a good time and appreciate magnas. This branch could cover Murwillumbah, Tweed, Cooly, Byron, Ballina, Lismore and all other areas close by.

Perhaps the NSW co-ordinator could give the idea a little thought?

I'll make this a sticky for a bit.. see if you get any interest from members in the area.. then maybe u can do the whole impromptu thing in the thread like Newcastle do..

Al3x, have you spoken with the qld boys about this?
a thought could be to bring a few more cruises down your way. Here in syd we try to head up to newcastle every few months to say g'day, and also have cruises where we meet half way which brings every1 together. This would be a good suggestion to put forward to the QLD co-ordinators. If you'd rather mysti or myself to put it forward for you, that wouldnt be a problem, otherwise just start chatting with the the QLD boys about it, i believe mischief and magatron are the people to speak with.

good point, I will be making inquiries with the QLD co-ords. So many magnas around here. I saw a black tj vrx with silvery chrome wheels in Machinery drive today. Didn't have any flyers.

What about the others who are in the middle being from Grafton to Hexham and west to Tamworth. I know there are more than a few of us on here, maybe a mid north coast/north west NSW chapter could also be organised if there are enough of us interested.

hey all, i agree with something being done for the far north coast, there are a lot of magna's floating around in the lismore/ballina/byron area. the modifyed ones mainly the younger generation, but it would be good if there could be something organised, even if it wasnt a propper club cruise, just a common get together

Just so you guys know the NMC (Newcastle Magna Club) a few AMC guys from Sydney might be tagging along also, will be doing an overnight weekend cruise to Port Macquarie around March to late April area, we are currently organising this with one of our members who lives up there. When we finalise dates etc a thread will be started with all the info needed.

But here in Newcastle for a while we use to have a Sticky thread in the NSW section where we discussed meets etc, until we branched off and formed the NMC and created the forums and when we get new members we always recommend them to the AMC and we also promote AMC events.

lol old thread......

I think the furthest NSW member regularly active on the forums would be wombat at Forster......

All you need to do is gets some flyers out mate and get a scene happening!

Pete - you just saved me! I was gonna post a reply - hadn't thought to look at the age of the thread! Wondered why there were several unfamiliar nicknames!!
