Me and EmoTR went wrecker hunting today, found a few good things for people

centre road wreckers:

- full manual 2nd gen wagon
- 3rd gen with chrome door handles + leather

i though a few people could also add to this when they find stuff at the wreckers which may interest other members

How often do cars turn over at a wrecker? Do they have a shelf life as it were? I went to Jolly Rogers last weekend (and am going back for something next weekend or even tomorrow) but do you go look (say) every month to see if there's anything new?

They would have been the same seats you saw I'd imagine, I'd only been told they were Grey, haven't seem them in person. Just be weary they don't have rear cup holders if that's something you really need.

Passenger front was wet when I was there this arvo - huge rain cloud had just been over. :cry: Passenger front window is gone, so wet down the door side. Not too bad, more lots of drops than soaking wet.

They're a very light grey - almost the colour of a gum tree trunk. Apart from being wet, passenger seems OK. Back seats are OK bar the right rear headrest, that needs a bit of stitching. Drivers seat has some minor marks - almost like tiny rips, but I think they're just marks.

Back door trims are off on both back doors, all chrome handles are gone. Going to be a bugger to get the seats out too, very close to other cars (can't open any door more than 3 foot).

They wouldn't suit my Magna - wrong colour. My TF is mainly a darker grey interior.

Lugo, if you're up for the drive, I'll meet you there Sunday and we'll go seat removing. I can cover you if you like. Sorry mate, can't do it earlier; interstate until Friday and in-laws in town Saturday. And, if you like them, maybe we can do a deal on your old seats :)

Sorry - all TE's, TF's and TH's with 1 or 2 TJ's. There's also the KE Verada that got the leather and a (maybe) KJ that's been absolutely gutted (and, when you put your head in the window, all you can smell is petrol).

That shell of a KJ is about to go too, the row behind it is empty.

Thanks for the offers guys, but I'm really not the type to go accepting money from people, even as a loan. Unless someone wants to give me at least what these will cost for my Velour, I'll be sticking with the Velour for the time being, its still a mint interior :P I believe the complete setup is around $300, leather seats are no good without the door inserts and console lid after all :)

also as the drivers seat is electric u wont be able to slide the seat to get to the bolts without power

i spent half a day on a KJII that got t boned and it bent the the passenger rail and it was electric and i ended up just stripping the covers cause i coulnd't get the basted out. and i was desperate for a power passenger seat!

and if any1 finds a 380 with a square hitch towbar to suit a VRX please let me know! thanks.

TH/KH only I'm afraid, TE/TF came in a grey colour, but not black. What yours after is quite rare. Get a quote from Millers Street Panels in Epping, shouldn't be more than $300 to get the bonnet done, depends on the cost of the paint, but normal metallic wouldn't see you far over $200.

Can inquire for you if you like? Its not far out of my way.

Is your bonnet damaged or needing a paint job?

The guys at Miller Street Panels quoted me $300 for a bonnet respray - which should be cheaper than a new bonnet... plus they blend the guards.

My car is still being done up there - went to have a look today - looking very nice!

Well.... got 2 chrome boot garnishes at Jolly Rogers. 1 just chrome Magna (rubber is basically had it), the other is chrome with Magna in black (no rubber at all, looks like it was never there - the one that TJ Sports mentioned a page back).

I've been looking on ebay for 15" alloys, have my choice of 2 sets at Jolly Rogers at $35 per wheel. Going back tomorrow to decide. 1 set has all 5 wheels but the right front is damaged (could always become the spare), the other has 4 wheels (spare is gone). Want 15's as my existing tyres are in good nick, saves me from basically throwing away 4 or 5 good tyres.

There's a paris white TE with spoiler at jollys. I looked at grabbing the spoiler but not with the tools I had. So, going back next weekend to grab the whole boot lid. Straight swap onto my paris white TF.

It also had colour coded mirrors - emphasis on had :D

There was a chrome garnish at Jolly's on the weekend, but they bill $19 for them. Get someone in Adelaide to post you over a new one ex the spares place would cost the same but be brand new.

just got back from imlachs in clayton and they have a KW AWD GTVi

boot lid, rear bar, front rotors are gone and the steering wheel :woot:

black leather electric seats (with airbags) still there but don't expect much change from 1K :(
tail lights still there as well

Bald guy who does the sunday is the best, I got an alternator, coil pack, door trims, wiring looms, handles, interior pieces, whole WHEELBARROW full for $80, win. Everyone else names a price per part, he gives you a price per wheelbarrow lol

velour seats that are in good condition
boot lid is perfect and has all lights and badging
has black out dash i wouldnt mind this but unsure how easy it is to install in a TH magna.
all elect window tho glass is smashed on drive side.
wood grain astray and lighter in one.

went and checked it out,

interior is in good condition, has the cluster still in it, has the auto dim mirror in it. And trip computer.

i was gonna get the auto dim mirror but started to take loom and looked hell hard to take out with out damaging it or other parts for other people.

Called them up about the LH parra, they quoted $120 for it, will just wait until Jolleys gets another I am thinking lol I only said Magna Headlight, he stated Magna one $90 or Verada one $120

pick-a-part have bare bumpers on special at $15, dont know what that means but its a cheap way to get color coded bumpers (like 2nd gens) if they have em. i'm heading down to get some for the EA lol

Just for anyone wanting some real clean stuff, there is a TE at Jolleys with only 63k on it, was bloody immaculate and almost no damage

If anyone is after an engine with low k's it is the one to get for sure (motor has been removed but believe it is forsale through the normal over the conter set up they have)

Nope if there was it would be standard by the time i would of been done with it. All just pov pack exec's and elites

Theres a KJ at Jollies that the website seems to imply that the seats are still there. Anyone know for sure and what condition they are in? Going to look to head over tomorrow arvo, but if the seats are no good, I won't bother.

there is a verada with velour seats in good nick, front bar looks ok, has one two peice parra inside car, electric antenna
also two TL/TW magnas
a TH with tail lights in good nick
a TJ in light blue with boot lid in good nick

haha went to jollys today, discovered that tr/ts rear vision mirror will fit a tj with bugger all modification (just use larger 3 screws :P, should stop that damn rattle from the subs by removin it from the windscreen to the roof) and got a front map light set up out of a kh verada, which fit straight in my tj vrx... pumped!

K just went and had a look, no gearknob :doubt:
Although it had a full set of near new lovells lowered springs. I can tell they are near new as they are all clean.

Also a TR wagon with a full set of rear venetians (LH, RH, Rear window)

Not sure if its still in the car, but there is a TH at Pick-A-Part Kilsyth, got the drivers side tail in good nick too.

Also, with the KH, i got the para for maggie today. Also pulled out the rear tails, including the garnish and the engine cover ones if anyone is interested. Hid the tails in the back of the Toyota Crown across from the KH and put the engine cover in the boot.

The TH that is there as well has what looks to be possibly a faded black parcel shelf. It looks black at first, but seems to be dark grey on close inspection. Has black seatbelts and seat belt locks too.

series 1 diamante front bar at PAP cambelfeild. Some screw holes in it, bit of bog in it too from the looks of it, only missing the front fogs, I think PAP want $70 for a front bar. about $20 when they go on sale but not sure when. Might be good for someone whos looking for a cheap project for a while..

yep! and the Diamante S1 bumper is still there at the cambelfeild site.
Missing foglights and inserts, still has lip. bit of a beater though, lots of cracked bog and a few holes, but if you know someone in the business you could get it fixed up cheap as cheaps...

Aquired the handles already, not much else on it tbh! The KF there has a full bootlid and lights plus has the fuzzy trims.
