Approximately a 25 minute drive. If there's a few of us up for this let me know in advance and I'll print off a cruise route so we don't have any members getting lost should we get awkwardly separated. Its a fairly straight run.

Its 25 minutes, basically down St Georges road, right onto Brunswick road, left onto royal parade then right onto Macarthur rd which takes you onto the princes hwy and it'll be on our right. From the Kebab shops location there's easy access to Citylink, Western Hwy and the Eastern, so it should be easy enough for everyone to get home.

And the food is fantastic, kudos to Nemesis for showing me the place a while back, its now a popular eating location for a few of us :P

Easily park that many cars, its a car wash during the day, plenty of space around.

Flemington isn't far away at all, its a 20 minute drive in light traffic, which I dare say on a Thursday night it would be light, and its easy access for everyone to get home near 3 main roads. Actually, to put in perspective for you, the Kebab place in Flemmington and Lygon street are about 30 seconds from each other, quite literally.

MicJaiy, as to your concerns about it being a bit hectik because of the races, I somewhat doubt it on a Thursday night at the time we'd be there. To be fair on the southern members who want to participate we wouldn't be leaving Preston until around 9pm.

5 cars easy if you are the only ones, 10 cars.. pushing it... there is a servo next to it, one across the road and if you are really desperate for a park, there is a brothel across the road as well... they have rear parking if you want to be discreet about it or you can park at the front... :P

I've seen the place with more than 10 cars there at once, and everyone could still get in and out, 5 is a piece of piss. Remember we're all together so its not a hugely big deal if we end up blocking a couple of our own cars in worst case scenario.

Looking at the birds eye, I'm picturing 12 as the max you could fit in the actual car wash block without blocking people in.

Firstly, so its confirmed... the one at Flemington? if so, I'll come straight from work.

Yes its confirmed. Going straight there kinda defeats the purpose of the night, the whole point is to meet up at the usual northern point and go down together for dinner, but hey whatever floats your boat people :P

I've got directions for people to keep from the northern meet point printed, people interested in traveling directly to the kebab location will need to find their own way, its on the corner of Princes Hwy and Boundary Road.

Due to an incident involving being too close to corner of a wall in a city lane way yesterday and getting impaitent while reversing out this hairy situation, I've managed to knock the mirror out of my passenger wing casing, cracking it and braking some of the motor off aswell. Therefore, I prefer to be on the road as little as possible, and won't be along tonight >_< I tried Hidelberg Mitsu before for a new one, $144, no colour coding and on back order :rant: Now I have to find time to get to a wreckers and see if I can pick one up before I get cannaried!

In short, sorry guys, won't be along this week :-<

Don't worry dude, it's only your mirror. Look on ebay as well as the wreckers.. I saw a driver's side mirror go for pretty cheap recently. Depending on where you live, I'm sure someone would be willing to pick you up if you wanted to come along.

As it turns out I bottomed out the front end tonight lol Seems deakin has a rather steep exit, steeper than I thought....so EVEN I, with my 4WD ride height as you put it can actually bottom out :shock:

This Thursday will be the drive in night will it not? Hopefully we get good weather :P

Hey guys, just putting this out there as a suggestion. next thursday 27th Nov. There's a show and shine happening in the Chirnside Park Homemaker centre. It's being run by Chirnside Park Autobahn. Pretty straight forward... db comps etc. Awards for cars and the such. Will scan up the flyer in the next couple of days and make a thread. Anyway I'm going cos im going with some mates. Anyone else who wants to come should. Maybe a chance to differ from the same ol' northern suburbs meet. Also not as far for those from down south. Also if enough ppl turn up, might be a good chance for publicity, or exposure and the such. Yeah... So anyway think about it.
