Yeah.. I had a bit of slide in some oil today, around the corner, just managed to stay on my side (oncoming car), then when I got traction again I almost went straight into a power-pole on my side where there was a wreck from someone who's done exactly the same thing.

Glad its stopped raining on the coast here now, blue sky and sunshine, but still lots of water around the place.

Just a suggestion, but if you have 17" or greater rims either leave the car at home or keep your eyes peeled, cos I saw three cars with broken rims this morning caused by brand new potholes opened up by the rain.
Geez, it is pretty dangerous out there. I lost it last night going around a bend at about 80, hit a crazy ass deep puddle (didn't think it was that deep) pulled my car to the left a lot, ended up oversteering my nose into a ditch. Would have looked cool if I put my foot on the throttle, full opposite-lock and drifted my way out, but I wasn't that brave. Stomping on the brakes only activated the ABS and led me to oversteer a hell of a lot more. Most people's first reaction when their car starts sliding is to stomp on the brakes....which wasn't such a good idea in my case.
I'm beginning to appreciate how dangerous a RWD car with 225 and 245 tyres on the rear can be in the rain now.
