guage mounts - legal??

ok - so i am thinking about putting a guage or 2 in the car..
and was wondering if in VIc these type of mounts were defectable.

dont rate the carbon fiber finish just looking at the style of mount

i have heard both yes and no, but i figured there are bound to be people here who know for sure.

I have a pair. Trimmed in beige too, so clearly visible. they do impede visibility, but hey, she'll b right.

mine was the same gauge pod as uve shown but I cut it and moulded it into my A pillar for coolness. lol

PS I forgot, lol, I havent had any troubles at all with mine, not even a second glance.

nah, id trim it all up nicely.. just wanna know if i can legally have them there or if i have to be a little bit more creative with guage placement.

i was looking at that on ebay but then i thought its best not to mount it there, cause they will pull you up on it if they want then try and defect, try and find 2 more things. ie tire pressure and water fluid then your car is sidelined :( (cant talk just installed tinted tail lights lol)

Suede over fibreglass. I only used the 'glass to mould the shape, then sanded it roughly to get the shape smooth enough...then just straight over the top with suede...if you're going to do it, you'll need patience to be able to put the suede over the shape of the gauge pod. lol
