Ok, don't do a burnout. It won't do anything for you except probably wreck your diff.

Way too much wheels obviously too. You need to give it less revs off the line or learn to feather the accelerator a bit.

Omg, lol. Did that Astra beat you?

the turbo astra with a 9k engine setup? he sure did haha...that little thing was smashing everything.

burnouts rock..if i had an evo then i would agree with you and not do a burnout ;)

as for spin off the line..ive been trying all sorts of starts with different rpm...need to get more runs in as last time it was deadset bullshit how long i had to wait between runs. practise makes perfect :)

There's no reason to do a burnout. The reason people do burnouts is to get heat into their tyres, and seeing as tho you are probably running street tyres, it's not going to make any difference to your grip levels off the line. All it's really doing is putting massive stress on the drivetrain that is not necessary. When I used to go to the drags in my Ralliart, I used to just drive around the water. I tried lots of different techniques with doing burnouts, not doing burnouts etc. Lots of different take off techniques. The best way I found was to rev to just under 3k, then ease the clutch out and slowly apply throttle. This method seemed to minimise the axle tramp you were getting because the clutch isn't being dumped.

p zeros seemed to go well when they have some heat in them but im not here for a cock fight, next time ill go around the water its worth a try. when i got my quickest time was when i had it just under 3k was roughly 2.5 ;)
