Phillcom for parts, easily the cheapest I've found with outstanding service to boot. Once you've got the gear (which only takes a few days through Shawn), take it down to a reputable suspension joint to have fitted, that way you can be certain its 100% and covered completely by warranty.

personally i would buy it from phillcom as suggested. then take it to mal. Cheapest by far.

Places NOT to take it to

Pedders
Quadrant Suspension in Berwick

Remember with fitting the new suspension you need to have a wheel alignment too so add that cost in ;)

phillcom is an amc sponsor :P

And thats just my opinion on pedders. Their products arent up to scratch for what you pay, and i have found that they didnt do a very good job installing stuff in the past.

but this was in lilydale, other ones might be better

another good place other than Mal's is http://www.centrelinesuspension.com.au/ i had mine fitted with them and had a few other stuff done as well, they can be a bit steep but they take alot of pride in their work, not saying that Mal doesn't tho, just making it clear.

what would be best for the GTV. fronts and rear?

Boozer
14-03-2010, 07:35 PM
the King lows are as low as you'd wanna go without toooo much risk of scrap and hitting bumpstops

Yeah, gotta agree with this. Centreline are pretty pedantic about their work - can be pricey, but at least you're getting a good job done.

It's either Mal or these guys.

When I've bought springs they've always been $220 front and rear through Phillcom, but that said thats always been buying shocks too, so I'm not sure if it'll vary a little if thats all your going for. Superlows front and lows rear are the popular choice, lows handle better (apparently), but will leave the front still looking a little high.

Best bet is to look around for some photos of a TE-TJ with the suspension configurations your considering, I wouldn't look at a TL for comparison as the front guards are slightly different and won't give you an accurate idea of the gaps when fitted.

TBH, i didn't have a good run with Pedders either but mine was dealing with Pedders Footscray... and only after going to another suspension specialist that I am told they too received alot of complains re: Pedders Footscray so in short, I'm staying away from them.

Just remembered I had pics of my car next to yours from the Arthurs Seat cruise last year. Btw I've got King Superlows and my rims are 18's. As you can see it's nothing too drastic and quite a practical height. Honestly unless you have to access any stupidly steep driveways regularly you shouldn't have any problems at all.
