Changes to the AMC Rules (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61825) will be posted here to enable members to remain in adherence.
Please ensure you read and understand the below rule changes.

The primary purpose of the AMC Rules (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61825) is to maintain a consistent and friendly environment whilst also protecting individual members and the AMC Community as a whole.

Please assist us to keep the AMC Club, Website and Forums a great place for all.
If you feel any rule is unfair or needs amendment, please contact a member of the AMC Management Team (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/announcement.php?f=32&a=22) or send an email to admin@aussiemagna.com
The AMC Executive Team (Admin/Mods) will then discuss the issue or proposed change and agree on the appropriate action (if any).

Rule# 2.2 (Debates and Arguments) has been amended for fairness & consistency.
This was the result of some recent Political debate threads which highlighted the need to focus more on the behaviour of the individual posts rather than the topic being discussed.
The threads in question have been reopened and an infraction has been reversed.

Amended Rule:

2.2 Debates and Arguments
Healthy and respectful debating is allowed as long as the debate remains constructive and does not degrade into personal abuse or attack.
Engaging in or provoking an argument which is unhelpful, negative or abusive is not permitted.
The moderators will not act on personal opinion, belief or disagreements, but will act on personal abuse and provocation.
Please be mindful and consider your post carefully when starting or responding to debates. Especially controversial threads such as Holden vs Ford vs Mitsubishi, Political or Religious debates as these often lead to heated arguments and personal abuse.

Rule# 1.1 has been amended to broaden it's purpose to include all AMC Members. Although this was the rule's initial intention and we already have an infraction for "Abuse/Disrespect of an AMC Member or the Club", the rule did not specifically include all AMC Members. This has now been addressed. AMC will not tolerate one or more AMC Members bullying or stalking other AMC members in this forum.

Previous Rule:
1.1 Treatment of AMC & the AMC Management Team
Disrespectful remarks or abuse towards the AMC Club or any member of the AMC Management Team will not be tolerated.

Revised/New Rule:
1.1 Treatment of AMC Members.
Disrespectful remarks or abuse towards the AMC Club or any member of the AMC Management Team will not be tolerated.
Abuse, Bullying and Stalking of AMC Members will not be tolerated.

Previous Rule:

Rule# 6.4 (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61825&p=1166513&viewfull=1#post1166513) has been updated to explicitly state that all FS threads must have a fixed selling price - simply giving "offers" as the price is not sufficient. This requirement is to prevent disputes from arising, and has been enforced by the AET for some time.

Members are still free to accept a lesser offer or to lower the price in due course. As always though, they are obliged to sell to the first person to offer them the current asking price.

The For Sale Template is used for For Sale (FS) threads and Free or giveaway items (FREE).
All FS and FREE threads must use the AMC Standard FS Template.

Rule #6.17 (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61825&p=1166513&viewfull=1#post1166513) regarding bumping has been updated to remove any ambiguity. Also, if you're a Donating Member, Sponsor or Management, the bump period has been reduced to 48 hours.

As this rule has tended to been overlooked, it has been moved up to rule #6.11. All the other rules remain unchanged, albeit one number higher.

Previous Rule

6.17 Thread ‘Bumping’
‘Bumping’ of your own active FS or WTB thread is permitted, however ‘bumping’ your thread is only permitted once every 72 hours.
Bumping includes...

- pointless posts such as "PM sent", "PM replied", "Please buy it", etc.

New/Revised Rule

6.11 Thread ‘Bumping’
You cannot make any post in your own FS/WTB thread for at least 72 hours following the previous post (regardless of whether it was posted by you or another member). The only exception is if you're answering a question asked in the thread. For Donating Members, Sponsors and members of the Management Team, this duration is reduced to 48 hours.
