I'm planning to replace my TW's handbrake with the one out of a wrecked TH as the button on the TW's lever is missing. I have a couple questions:
1) Does the THs handbrake fit the TW given the center console is different?
2) What precautions should i take? The manual says...
My driver door power lock was playing up over the last few months (intermittent) and a week or two ago it finally stopped locking altogether. It took me a while to figure out what was wrong with it, but i was lucky and repaired for $0
I couldn't find much info on these actuators so...
So I've been using the Michilin Pilot Sport 3 tyres which are 235/45/17, and they have served me pretty well.
I'm just wondering if there is anyone who knows whether I should stick with the same size, or would i get better handling from a 245 tyre? I'm just cautious of hydroplaning from a tyre...
I'm trying to do the belt on my 3.0L V6. I put a belt on and gave it two full rotations, both camwheels were at TDC but the crankshaft wasn't, it was way out.
Stupidly (?) I thought I could take the belt off and then turn the crankshaft by hand to it's timing mark. I put the main bolt in and...
As I arrived for work yesterday I appeared to lose both headlights in my ralliart. When I got home I checked the fuses and relays and all seemed good. I then did the next obvious thing and changed bulbs and this solved the problem.
Driving to work today I noticed the battery light (staying on),...
While getting an oil filter I noticed that the pre-mixed coolant packs now have a blue cap & are labelled "Mitsubishi Super Long Life Coolant Premium".
I found a Mitsubishi USA web site showing "Super LL Coolant" (not "Premium") with a red cap indicating diluted to 30% & a blue cap indicating...
Quick question, basically it appears my timing belt has moved sideways? While looking at it with the covers off up top it appears it is sitting slighlty outside the top cog, which is causing it to rub as it travels around scuffing the edge.
The belt tension itself appears fine? can...
Currently having an issue, basically when installing the passenger driveshaft, it appears to not seat itself correctly (can be simply pushed in and pulled out with ease). The main issue though is it appears to be leaking around the driveshaft seal from the gearbox. I have had the...
Hi all, my KL Verada has just clicked over 100,000 k's and is due for a new timing belt, it still has the original belt, I bought the Dayco kit which has the belt, 3 seals and the idler and tensioner pulleys, just wondering what people have paid for a mechanic to fit this this kit? cheers
Hi all, I tensioned the new timing belt on my KL but noticed the rear camshaft was out one notch after setting the tension so I removed the belt and proceed to move the camshaft sprocket to realign it with the timing mark but it jumped maybe 6 notches forward so i used the old timing belt to move...
In a few months i would love to do a manual conversion on my tj wagon. tj wagons didnt come in manual so i wanna make one. does it matter what engine size i get (3 or 3.5) and from what models can i use? will be buying a manual car and swapping all parts. I cannot find this infomation for the wagon...
My TE Magna (3.0 auto) idles smoothly, but whenever I'm driving and the revs drop below 2000RPM, when I press the accelerator there is a pause and the speed drops off, before recovering. As soon as the revs are above 2000RPM, acceleration comes on strongly.
Can anyone help with the probable...
Hi all, I'm having trouble removing the camshaft oil seals on my KL Verada, what is the best way to remove them, any help would be much appreciated, cheers
So I have both my TCL and check engine lights on. I bought a new set of TCL solenoids and installed them and still have the same problem. I took my car to the Mitsubishi dealership (or so I thought) they said that a few days ago another place in town became the official mitsu dealer but still had a...
TW, 150k, getting all belts changed next week. The hoses are all still original; should I get these changed? Are there any that are (i) prone to trouble and (ii) hard to get to?
So we've kept one of our two TJ Solaras (the other one has gone off into the sunset with a new owner...sigh!). The one we've kept had a new engine pipe fitted early last year and a new muffler fitted a month ago. I had the new muffler put on because the twin outlets were about to fall off with...
Good morning everyone,
Can anyone please confirm the following for me:
1. Ralliart Enkeis (from Magna) clear Evo brembos?
2. Rear rotor spacer used for AWD caliper conversion will also work with Bremo
3. What size rotors do the Brembos take, and i assume the dust shield will need to come...
i was just checking around the engine, and noticed some leaks towards the front side of the cover, its not bad enough to reduce the oil level but it's there,
by instinct i checked the bolts and i was able to turn them very easily with medium wrench.. they re not loose falling...
I have these three lights (TCL, Handbrake & ABS) come on and stayed on. This usually happen within 5 minutes of cold start and then stays on. Today while driving the Engine Light also came on too.
I haven't noticed any Battery light ( may be not looking at it), will check it later...
