Would it be a good idea to have a sticky thread for common issues and cures to save alot of searching? Issues like: -Stuttering auto 1. Change filter and use genuine transmission fluid 2. Reset transmission and ecu by disconnecting negative on battery for 30 minutes 3. Follow the Auto...
Hi just want a few second opinions. As an inexperienced wrench jockey i dont know whether to give up on this or not. Few notes. -Back left cylinder had a very beat up looking spark plug when taking it out -small metal shards/filings in intake manifold for same cylinder -I let the car warmup...
I can't find a switch, and 2 of the switch positions just turn the light On all the time.
my TW, 180k km, has suddenly started using coolant. The gauge is fine, it drives beautifully, no obvious leaks on the ground, no milkshake on the dipstick or visible thru the oil filler cap. I put a new radiator cap on about year ago, so that's probably OK. No damp spot on the passenger side floor....
in the middle of driving. Alternator giving low output?
I am puzzled that there are 2 different Monroe shock absorbers for the rear on wagons - depending on model - unlike the front (all bodies) & the rear on sedans. For the front, Monroe seem to show part no 35-0534/5 (right & left) for all models, sedan & wagon. For the rear on sedans the part no...

Hi everyone, I am in the midst of doing a 6G75 conversion. I noticed that my original 6G74's exhaust valve stems are covered in white powdery looking stuff. The 6G75 though is black. I have done some google research and either: 1. This is normal 2. The engine is running lean
and do they normally destroy the crank, shaft in the process?
Today my TW when going uphill behaves as though the ignition was being turned on and off. It's a dual fuel car and does the same on petrol and gas. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, Just wondering, in a 3rd gen auto, would it be easier to replace the engine and transmission as whole, or if it would be easier to remove the engine without the transmission.
How do you access the handbrake mechanism on a TL wagon? The external lever has come off, I pulled the rear rotor off in an attempt to have a look, however access isn't very good. Does the wheel hub need come off to put on another mechanism?
G'day :) Recently inherited an Ei Verada, front wheel drive wagon. Is this the correct forum for Ei questions? Wikipedia seems to think it's more related to the TR/TS range:
Hi all, the drivers door window regulator is playing up on my KL Verada, moving it up it stops in about 3 or 4 spots, I took the regulator out and connected the power to it, it would go up and down fine but when I applied some pressure with my hand it would stop in the 3 or so spots as it did when...
