Magna / Verada owners from TR 1991 - TS 1995 Discussion here.
Here is a little write up I did a while ago.
Most of the Mitsubishi EFI engines, just like most fuel injected engines, have a problem in regards to oil and sludge build up at the throttle body. This is caused from the breather tube in the induction pipe breathing oily vapour. This will cause a...
For all of those who want to do the Twin Pot brake conversion.....
What you will need
1. Twin pot calipers from a 2nd gen
2. Either Machined rotors or new ones (Preferred)
3. New pads for the twin pots
4. New brake hoses (will cover this later)
5. Some basic knowledge of what you are doing...
This will be the thread that contains all the simple and not so simple fixes or mods we all once didnt know how to do. It will contain no spam. Not no spam like in the "post your ride" thread but no spam. All of this information will be targeted to the 2nd gen magna/verada models, which...
Just wondering if you need to follow the procedure to depressurise the fuel system prior to replacing the fuel filter.
All I can see is a little squirt of fuel being the problem - and then quickly plug the send/return lines to avoid any further dribbles. That'll evaporate away quick smart.
Is it Bosch Distributor Rotor GB885-C for my 1995 TS 2.6EFI?
My 1993 TR V6 auto has recently began producing an error 62 signal that according to the error codes is "Open-circuited torque reduction request signal line". Can any tell me what and where that is? I have had some connector problems that have been cured by unplugging and plugging in various...
Recently, I had a heater hose split in my Elite. This would have been no major problem, except I kept driving till the engine turned off several times, thinking it was out of oil and had no hope of surviving. After fixing the hose, it drove fine but drank water. The water pump also died. This...
1995 TS 2.6EFI Sedan 120k km
When I started the car yesterday I noticed the thermo fans came on immediately.
I'm just wondering which thermo sensor signals the ECU to turn these on. I'm figuring it needs replacing.
I originally started this post with the idea I had to replace the barrel on my ignition but lo and behold I dug around and found my spare key.
The old key was playing up the last couple of months and then yesterday - Nadda.
That 4 letter word ...WORK....immediately came to mind,
Ive had the...
Non Xenon....1995 TS 2.6EFI Manual Sedan
I understand we have 3 bulbs
The Low/High are separate bulbs...as opposed to some other cars which have both elements within the one bulb.
One supplier has the H1 55W
I'm reading on this forum possibly R12 but is there some way to confirm (without going to the shop). Anything obvious or visible...labels?
b) If it is R12 - I read in another thread that there is an ER12 which doesn't require any/much conversion....can someone comment?
If I'm up...
My 1995 TS 2.6 EFI Sedan is up for new rotors and pads. 120,000 kms
Just wondering if its a good idea to change bearings at the same time I do my rotors and pads - or simply repack them.
Keeping in mind - once you're into the job - you don't want to order and wait for bearings.
Hello all, I post this to ask your advice.
I have a '94 TS Magna Executive 3 ltr V6 wagon, 5 speed manual.
My wife died 3 weeks ago, I can not afford to have two cars now, so the Magna has to go.
I want to list it's condition etc and get your opinion on how much I could expect to get for it....
Unsure if anyone has come across these videos before, but here is the Japanese video magazine Best Motoring test driving the first generation Mitsubishi Diamante 30R-SE 4WD, 30R 2WD and 25R models back to back.
The Diamante is the frameless window hardtop version while the Sigma is the lesser...
My KH Verada locks all four doors sometimes when I drive over a bump, and sometimes when I shut the door. It did it with the engine running a couple of days ago -- luckily I was at home and had a spare key. It caught me once away from home when I ducked into a shop, the key was still in the...
I have a 95 TS magna with the factory immobilizer which has been disabled (per say). The spring which pushes the white plastic part that chops the light sensor on and off was removed.
The other day the ignition switch went bang (*return spring failed to return key to run) and I had to...
Is my 2.6L 94 TS Wagon still worth replacing the motor?
Hey guys, wondering if anyone can help me with an ongoing issue I am having with my 95' TS SE 4cly EFI.
When the engine bay heats up, I am getting large amounts of vibration and a loss of power which I (in my limited knowledge) believe is the engine missing.
I have a 94 ts that has developed an issue over time. For a few months now it would occasionally seem to jump out of 4th gear and just rev till the revs dropped down to idle speed then it would jolt and pick up 4th again. Over the weekend it did this again but would not pick up 4th at all and I...
G'day guys, in the last couple of days my ts2.6 auto has been misbehaving.
At 100kmh the torque converter has been unlocking when under light load for no reason. Goes between locking and unlocking 6 or so times then back to normal.
Goes 5-15mins before happening again.
What I'd like to know,...
Dunno whether this is worthwhile posting or not, but thought I'd let it be known as it might help someone.
My TS 3 ltr manual was missing under load, but only when hot.
I checked all the usual suspects, distributor cap, plugs and leads, air filter, fuel filter ....
could not fault the thing.
well i had a search and found nothin.
So here it is for all you 2nd genners
what do you get per tank???
