Default 380 Engine conversion/fitment into Ford Transit

I am planning re-powering a Ford Transit 2001 VH onwards, using a 380 motor coupled to the original Transit 5 speed manual transmission.

My question is: The donor 380 had the auto gearbox, does the 380 TCU operate separately from the 380 MCU. If interconnected, what if any are my possible problems.

I am converting and re powering a 2003 Ford Transit removing the 2.4 diesel and manual gearbox and fitting a Mit 380 engine and auto gearbox. This is the second Transit I am modifying using this power plant.

My question: Has anyone bypassed the airbag control unit. I have two reasons for this, 1 This model Transit doesn't have air bags. 2. Because of wire routing, connecting the control module. 3. I need to keep the SRS CAN BUS in circuit.

On the first conversion Transit I bypassed the ABS with a jumper at the ABS pump plug. Hoping to do the same with the airbag module.

Thanks in advance for any help, it would be much appreciated.
    Regards
    Kim
