    Default 380 Engine Conversion Deal

    Special offer to AMC members.
As we are a main sponsor of AMC we are going to offer to members a special deal for some 3.8 conversions.

These are all hot tested motors, been run in the cars (sometimes for several weeks being moved in and out of the shop each day), will be prepared by us ready to bolt in place of any 3.5l engine and will include the following
    Motor (duh)
    New timing belt kit
    Fitting
    Penrite Oil
    Genuine Filter
    Trans Fluid
    Coolant

Auto $1650 DRIVE AWAY (usually $2350) (change over)
Manual $1795 DRIVE AWAY (usually $2495) (change over)

Now for the catch, as stated these motors are ALL pre tested, have been run in the cars and ran beautifully however they are higher mileage. On average you are looking at a motor with between 190k and 230k on them. Now the motor in my car (my wagon) is approaching 350k and has not had a day of issue at all. It uses on average 2.5l every 10k of driving or so which is about average for a standard 3.8 anyway.

These motors are too good to just throw out so I thought I would put it out here to see if there is any interest. In effect you will be getting a 3.8 conversion for not much more than a standard 3.5 would cost you to replace so a great opportunity to upgrade your motor for a decent price.

Anyone interested please feel free to call us on 1300 300 274

Spetz, you can transfer all/most the stuff you've just had done onto the 3.8 so it wouldn't be a complete waste. I transfered my dizzy (which admitedley has to be transfered over in place of COP ingnition), leads, plugs, belts (not including timing), air filter, fuel rail & injectors & thermostat as they were all fairly fresh and could be used on the 3.8. If you had your water pump done then you can bring that across - All assuming its a 6G74 of course!

Ok guys, have 2 more available as of today. Both still in cars running and both running well

Auto $1750 DRIVE AWAY (usually $2350) (change over)
Manual $1895 DRIVE AWAY (usually $2495) (change over)

Not quite as cheap as the last lot but still very cheap for a conversion

Actually, I was wondering how long does this take? I'm in the ACT so for me to have this done would require driving down and possible staying until completed?
