Default Sachs (Boge) Dampers, will they fit an 07 Galant Ralliart?

Let me start by saying I used to be in Aus but now I'm in the US.
I've got an 07 Galant Ralliart which I understand shares a lot with a 380.

Will the same dampers that fit a 380 work on the 07 Galant Ralliart?

I'm looking to get Sachs to replace the stock dampers but not sure what part numbers to get.

I think it's Sachs 312 173 and 312 174 in the front and then a pair of Sachs 310 886 in the rear.

Just thought I'd ask in here as nobody over here seems to know anything about Sachs.

Number you show are for Magna not 380

    380 are

    031383
    013384

    Rear 312170

As for if they will fit, I would assume so but without having seen a US Galant I can not say for sure.

Pretty sure Sachs would have a catalogue for the USA

Thanks Mal, I just looked them up and they are listed as compatible on RockAuto.
Now to find someone who has them in stock!

Hi O_P, did you get to drive a 380 before you left Aus.
I just wondered how the 380 and the Galant Ralliart compare.

I didn't have the chance to drive the 380.
I used to have a TW AWD magna with the 380 engine swapped in, and I have to say I prefer that to the Galant Ralliart in looks and the way it handles.
Sadly they are almost impossible to find in California. I don't even think they did the AWD version here.

I'll see how the handling changes with the new shocks and the dobinson springs I've got on order.
The performance once the ECU is tuned is pretty good, but it's also a heavy car so it take a bit to get moving. I would have gone for an Eclipse but my wife demanded I get a 4 door...

I regards to replacing struts and springs I'm looking at this online parts store and noticing there is a bunch of stuff that doesn't come with the sachs struts or the strut mount.

Is there a good guide anywhere as to what needs to be replaced along with the struts? Should I grab it all new (nuts, pads, covers, dampers etc)?

Do they do a tuned ECU for the Galant?

Australian and US run totally different ECU set ups.
    ...
I am sure that any state will struggle to put on an equivalent to what MMX was, it was awesome both in the aspect of events and the social aspect after cruises,

They do. It doesn't use the Bosch ECU though, the galant ralliart has the mivec sohc 6g75. It's similar to the ECU off the Eclipse, but the ralliart has a unique part number.

So it turns out that nobody in the US has the front shocks in stock, and Sachs aren't making any more of them until November
I wonder how much shipping from Australia is...

Are the Sachs that much better than the KYB when running the Dobinson springs?
