I've done 260,000km and no heater core yet.
It has so far been mechanically sound. Been around Aus twice and up and down the east coast a dozen times, can't fault it.
The TH had two trip readouts. A mechanical one on the cluster and a second one on the fuel economy gizmo. The TW is just a clock.

Where is this? can you take a photo? as I can't see it, only way I can open the boot on my TL is the remote or the button in the glove box, cheers

The tab was a requirement for the American market. It was meant to allow escape from the boot.
Lamenting the loss of Australian manufacturing.

2005 - TL AWD Magna still paying for upkeep

It is a black plastic tab in the shape of a ring, next to the interior hatch on the right inside the boot cavity.

Just checked mine and it still works.

Thank you for telling me about that, I've had the car over 3 years and never noticed that before, I always wondered how you could open the boot if the battery was flat, now I know, cheers

TL/KL or TW/KW are good as it was the newest in the generation. Several issues were resolved in the final version however because some of its limited production parts can be more expensive compared to previous models.
