Default 2.4 L MIVEC for 380 in the future

here is some information on the future of the 380 form Go-auto news.

"A Peugeot-developed turbo-diesel version and a 2.4-litre MIVEC four-cylinder variant are both on the horizon for the 380."

So a 240 is on the cards.
Hopefully MIVEC 3.8 lt before then

    a 2.4l 380?

Will Mitstu actually call it the "240" or, "380 Light" or "380 Minus a bit"
    ??

Good to see a smaller version is comming, should help their sales alot for those after a smaller engined car

Reading betwen the lines it seems that there will be 3 types? A 3.8L, a 2.4L and an unknown L Turbo Diesel? 3.5L Turbo Diesel sounds about bang on delicious

Some people will want the extra room, but don't feel the need for power. Good move with diesel too, people are waking up to the fact that they are quite fuel efficient.

if its a peugot derived diesel, my guess is it will be based on the 407 2.7 V6 turbo diesel, which can also be found in the new landrover discovery, and in the jaguar s-type in twin turbo form, or it could just be a version of the 2.0lt turbo diesel 4 cyl
