    Default Gurgling Noise When Accelerating

    Hey,

I have been hearing a gurgling sound, which seems to be coming from behind the dash cluster, when I accelerate hard.

Does anyone know what would cause this and if I should be worried?

I have checked the coolant and it seems fine.

    Thanks

I'm not running the air con (or heater) when this is happening, when I do have it on its really quite cold. I thought the same thing, tried running the heater and the air con each for a while and it didn't seem to have an effect.

The noise does seem to go away once I have driven for a while, that said, it still keeps making the noise well after the engine has warmed up

    Thanks

I get a gurgling noise when I start up mine. Been doing it for years, never knew what it was.

my tp does the same thing when first driving then goes away it should be air in the heater pipe at the back of the inlet manifold clearing itself as the water pump passes it through that pipe is higher than the radiator so it fills with air overnight thus the gurgling sound when it first runs the coolant through if it is continuous you need to pull the rad cap let it heat up till the thermostat opens and the water level in the radiator will drop slightly and then you will be able to fill it a little more and that should get rid of the sound on the next cold start-up time

failing that as magna buffs sugests it could be an aircon lne gurgling due to the gas pressure being low or old gas needs regassing?????

I usually find this to be an indictor of the radiator water level being a bit low. When the cooling system is in the normal operating state, it shouldn't allow air pockets to gurgle through the in car heater.

That what I was told by a misty mechanic that replace my TCU, done a cracker of a job :/ Wish I knew his number. And he was right, after awhile you get know the noise of your car and general what the car needs.
